How to make your laptop battery last longer

Many people have purchased laptops thinking that the battery will last 6 hours or 8 hours or however long the packaging of the laptop says the battery will last, but they soon discover that the battery is only lasting a few hours, 2-3 or 4 hours if they have a high end battery, there is a reason for this the companies selling you the laptop computers are not lying. The main reason that this is happening is because the 6 hours that the laptop battery is meant to last, is in the best case scenario.

Now what this means is:

1. Your laptop screen brightness is set to a minimum, requiring less battery power, allow your laptop battery to last longer, but who really want an extremely dark screen to look at? You should be able to see your laptop screen without a problem.

2. You are not using anything that has high graphics or ram requirements, meaning gaming, video editing, etc. But hows that help If you want to play games on your laptop?

3. You are not using the back-lit keyboard. This will drain power from your laptop computers batteries.

4. Sound / Music, if you are listening to music, or sound from anything, this will affect the battery life of your laptop.

If you are not doing any of that, then the laptops battery may last its full claimed time, there are a few other minor variables, but thous are the main reasons your laptop is only lasting a few hours.

So what you can do to help make your laptop battery last longer is:

1. Set the screen brightness a little lower then you usually have it, so that you can still see everything fine, this will save lot of battery power.

2. If you are gaming or doing any high requirement things on you laptop, it is best to have an energy efficient graphics card.

3. If you need to use the lights on the keyboard, then use them, but don't leave the keyboard lights on your laptop on unless necessary.

4. The quieter you listen to your music the less battery power your laptop will use, so unless you need to blare it, don't.

What this means, if you are getting a laptop be prepared for it to not last as long as it says it will, for the average person a laptop battery will only last about half as long as the company who makes the laptop claims.

This means you may want to get a 9 or even a 12 cell battery so that of they are claiming the laptop batteries will last 12 hours, at least your good for 6 hours :P

So I highly recommend making sure you laptop has a high quality battery, that doesn't need to be charged every 5 minutes, cause what good is a laptop if you have to plug it in? So again get a laptop battery that last 2 times as long as you actually want the battery to last.

This is a review of the Nivida Geforce 9500 GT Graphics Card.

I recently bought this graphics card for my new computer with 8gb ram, and a 2.8 ghz processor, this may seem like a week graphics card for the computer but in fact the Geforce 9500 GT by Nivida is a powerful graphics card, It has 1 GB dedicated Graphics memory making it run your games better then any other Graphics card its price.

I have played it on many games, from simple Flash games, all the way to games such as WOW, Combat Arms, and many other high requirements games, the graphics card had no problem playing these games on the highest of graphics settings, The Nivida Geforce 9500GT cut through them, running smooth, and looking amazing.

If your looking for a great graphics card for almost any game, for an amazing price then the Nivida Geforce 9500 GT Is a great choice, if you compare it to any other cards in its price range...

Thous Graphics cards will have 512MB of Dedicated graphics memory or less, some only 256 mb dedicated Graphics Memory, It is Direct-X 10 compatible, and 10.1 compatible, making the Nivida Geforce 9500 gt Graphics card Ideal for just about any game made to this date.

So a few weeks ago I got a question asking me what is the best graphics card for a 512mb ram aka half a GB ram laptop. Lochan asked this question on Jan 4, and I would like to apologize for the late answer. But here we are.

You are wondering if you should get a 128, 512, or 1000 MB graphics card for your laptop, correct?

The simple answer to your question is NONE none of the above, why you ask. The reason is laptops are built different from desktop computers, now with a desktop you can easily upgrade or change the graphics card at any point and time, with laptops you must buy the computer with a graphics card...
But here is a solution if you are looking for a cheap laptop, with an option of a simple built in graphics card, you can purchase one at Best Buy, But if you are looking for a laptop with a higher end graphics card, then I would recommend Checking dell.ca or dell.com.
Once at the website check out the laptops and see if you can customize it to the perfect ram, HD, and eve graphics card.

If you are not looking to buy a new computer and where hoping to upgrade your current laptop, well Im sorry but laptops are not built like desktops.

YouTube Revenue sharing for more people

YouTube has recently released news of offering revenue sharing to more users in the YouTube community, now revenue sharing is very different from regular partnership. YouTube revenue sharing means youtube has chosen one of your videos that has gone viral ( Got a Lot of views from people telling friends emailing it, etc ). And decided they wish to place ads on just that video. Why they would do this instead of making your whole account a partner, is because YouTube may have decided that your other videos are not high enough quality, not enough views, or even don't follow community guidelines.

The differences between a regular you tube partnership, and revenue sharing is that you do not get ads on all your videos with revenue sharing, where as with a partner you get to select each video you want revenue sharing on, then submit for revenue sharing.

In the picture below you will notice some of youtubes biggest partners, such as... Fred, movie trailers, and others.

Revenue sharring does not mean that YouTube does not want you as a youtube partner, if anything it means they do, Youtube accualy reccomends for you to apply for a partnership, because they realized if you have had one viral video, why cant you have more.

If you have been offered revenue sharing on one of your videos it does increase your chances at becoming a youtube partner, Now if you have been offered revenue sharing on many of your youtube videos, I would think your chances are very high to become a youtube partner, because this means they like many of your videos, and not just one.

If you have been offered revenue sharing on one of your youtube videos, you can easily set that video on youtube up for revenue sharing, by following the link provided in the email, and following the steps such as linking your google ad sense account. After this you should be making money on your revenue shared videos in no time, if you don't have an adsense account it can take up to a week :(.

Now just because your video got offered revenue sharing does not mean its guaranteed accepted into the program, but it is very likely, the only way you will not get accepted for revenue sharing is if you simply have copyright videos / content or anything against the community guidelines in that youtube video.

I would recommend making sure to check for both of thous things before applying the youtube video for revenue sharing, as it may get rejected, and removed from youtube, and you wont like that.

I recently got a few of my videos offered revenue sharing, and just applied for a partnership, so we will see if they accept me into the program, till then at least I have a few videos that can make me some money :)

How to increase the speed of internet downloads, over time I like you have been annoyed by slow downloads over the internet. Even if you have really fast internet, often downloads will take way longer then they should, there are veracious reasons that your download speed may be affected, In this article I will go over how to deal with thous problems, and increase the speed of your internet downloads.
I will start with the most simple methods of increasing your download speed, then go into the more advanced ways on how to increase downloads speed off the internet. At the end of trying all my methods of increasing the speed of internet downloads, either you will be successful, and know your internet is good, or you will know there is a problem with your internet service provider

First thing you will want to do is to test the speed of your internet, now this can be done very easily, but just before you do this, you will need to know what speed of internet connection you are paying for from your provider, you can call theme and ask, or you may already know your internet speed. Okay so lets get on-to how to check your internet speed...

To check your internet speed, simply go to this site... speedtest.net. Click run speed test, and it will do some downloads and uploads testing, do not worry, it is very safe, if you are worried run a simple virus scan after.
This will take a couple minutes to complete, and at the end will tell you your download, and upload internet speed. So if you are paying for 5Mbs internet speed, then the result should be about 5mbs, if not that means it may be at a slower internet time, because it will not always be its max speed, the upload speed will be way less.

If you are noticing that the speed is less, here are some things you can to to increase the speed of your internet downloads.

1. You will want to turn off all other computers in the house, leave the one you are doing the test on connected. This should increase the speed of your internet, but before you test again you should also make sure your computer is connected by a direct line, and not wireless, this will greatly effect the speed of internet downloads. Now try testing your download speed again, faster right? If not here are some other things you can do to try to increase the speed of internet downloads.

2. Make sure that it is not your computer running slowly, and causing internet downloads to run slower, meaning what is your computers specs, all you need to check to increase the speed of internet downloads, is the Ram, and The processor speed. To check this go to "my-computer" and it should display your computers Ram, and processor speed, the ram should be displayed as GB, and the Processor speed should be displayed as GHZ, as long as your ram is over 1gb, and processor is over 1.5ghz this should not be the problem for your internet speed. This is a simple or easy way to successfully clean your computers LCD screen, or touchscreen safely, so that your computer screen does not get damaged. I have done this many times, and my computer screen is as good as new, its very easy and take barley any time to clean your computer screen safely. If you are using an older computer screen that is made out of glass, then no point in reading my guide, its simple you just wipe it with a damp cloth, but for thous of us with new computer screens, meaning LCD computer screens, or touch screen computers, then this guide will teach you how to safely clean your computer screen.

This way of cleaning your computer screen safely will only take about 5 minutes to do, so lets get onto cleaning your computer screen, and lets do this easily and safely.

First thing you will need to do when cleaning your computer screen is turn your computer off, and unplug your computer, and computer screen / monitor from the wall, if you have two computer monitors, then unplug both.
The reason I am having you turn your computer, and computer screens off, and unplugging them, is because if the power is at all touching them well the water to clean your computer screens is touching them, then it may cause damage.

Now well you are waiting for your computer, and screens to turn off you should go get a microfiber cloth. and make sure its not a normal cloth it needs to be a microfiber cloth to clean your computer screen safely.

Now that your computer and computer screens are off, you can simply dampen the microfiber cloth ever so slightly, make sure the water is warm but not hot, and that your microfiber cloth is not wet, just damp.

You should be ready at this point to wipe your screen with the damp cloth, be gentle, wipe gently, and make sure to repeat over every spot on the computer screen, remember if your cloth is wet it will damage the screen. So now you have gone over your screen, your computer screen should be clean, but if you have stuck on food, or other things, they may not come of that simply, but there is something you can do to clean this off your computer screen safely, simply take a dry microfiber cloth, and scrub, not to hard, but hard enough to get the food or debris off, now go over the computer screen again with the damp microfiber cloth.

Get a New Desktop Background on vista

Looking for a new desktop background for your computer, and you are using a vista operating system?
If you get a new desktop Background it will splice up your desktop, and change how you feel when you go onto your computer. To get a new desktop background, you can use a list of already made desktop background by windows vista, or you can simply get a new desktop background on your vista computer by downloading an image or buying an image of the internet, try Google images.

Once you know what desktop background you are going to get, or use on your vista computer, we can get onto installing or adding this desktop background to your computers desktop.

Changing your computers desktop background is reasonably simple, all I need you to do is go to your computer, look at your computers desktop, and right click. Now select personalize.

A new window will pop up, from this window select the option Desktop Background, or windows vista desktop background whichever it appears as.

In this new category you will be able to browse through already made desktop backgrounds, get a new one from the internet, or select a background saved to your images file.

Once you have got your new desktop background selected you will be able to simply click save, and congratulations you now have a cool new desktop background.

Looking to change the screensaver of your computer on a windows vista operating system? Well its much easier done then said. Wait is not that saying spouse to be the other way around? Yes normally it would be, but changing your computers screensaver on a vista operating system is actually so simple, It will take me way longer to right this article about how to change computer screensaver on windows vista. But of course there is a reason your searching for how to change your computers screensaver, its not cause you are dumb, its is because if you have not changed your computers screensaver before it is ten times harder, therefore I will teach you the simple way to change your computer screensaver on a vista operating system.

So here we go, get your image ready and lets change your computers screensaver. ( But wait I dont have an Image I want to upload as My screensaver, not to fret choose from a list of pre-made screensavers from your computer, made by Microsoft windows vista)

First thing you will need to do to change your computer screensaver is make sure you are logged onto the administrator account, then look at your computer desktop. Now right click anywhere on your windows vista computer desktop, and select personalize.

A box of different options will pop-up, simply select screen saver. wait for your computer to load the next page, this should have a bunch of options about your screensaver.

This will pop up in a new window, now you have the option to select on of the many screensaver options in a drop down menu, you will be aloud to preview your computer screensaver, then save the screensaver on your computer.

Now you are done this you should have successfully changed your computers screensaver, this works on vista computers.

Well your looking into buying speakers for your computer, but not sure where to start? Well i will help you choose computer speakers that are not to expensive, but are still good quality. The most common mistake for people is they spend to much money on computer speakers that are way to loud, and really unnecessary. The other thing I will help you with is choosing a brand of computer speakers, cause you want to buy a well known computer speaker brand, but you do not want to spend too much on the brand name, for example boss speakers, and computer speakers are amazing, there spectacular sounding, but you are probably paying more then you wan for the name. Now if you have a high budget for speakers, then these might be the right choice for you. So you want to find the right speakers for you, and I will help you in choosing the right speakers by giving you guidelines, and some links to good quality speakers, at good prices.

First lets look at what kind of speakers you want, are you looking for surround sound with a good base? or just Simply two speakers and a base? or do you want some really inexpensive computer speakers, something with only two computer speakers?
Answer these questions about choosing computer speakers as we go, and by the end you will know what computer speakers you want.

Next when you are looking at speakers, would you want something for blaring music? Amazing gaming sound? or just some basic speakers so you can hear quiet music, or voice. Now in my opinion sound quality is more important then computer speakers loudness.

So you are looking into buying a computer, but your not sure if you want to go with a mac computer or a PC, you have heard so many good things about the mac, but PCs are less expensive. Well there is a little more to the dissension then that, I mean how much you have to spend on you computer does matter, but macs have some downsides that you may not know off, as well as PCs having upsides and downsides that you might not know about. Now there are some other problems with Mac Computers, but I wont get into them as they are not the most important. The nice thing about Mac computers Is they have really good Media Editing, and making software, and programs. Mac computers come pre-equipped with Hi-end Video Editing, Photo Editing, and Sound editing programs, that mac it ideal for anyone looking for media editing equipment. So if you are looking for something as Simple as making home videos for YouTube, to things as advanced as making your rap album to get rich, then the Mac computer can help you with that. One of my favorite tools that comes with all Mac Computers Is garage band, it allows you to make amazing music, sound effect, and songs, it is so fun, and easy to use. With all the new laws On youtube no copy write material songs, Etc, and other sites, It id Ideal For making more interesting videos.

Now Lets Look Into The PC Computer.
First things first, I will tell you the Downsides Of using a PC computer.
When using a PC computer you will notice it will have a few more Freezes, lags, and small problems like that then the mac computer, you will also notice it can get a virus much easier. The PC computer usually don't come with high-end media editing software and programs, but the fact that they are less expensive, make up for it.

Now lets look at some of the good PC features:
They are much less expensive then Mac Computers, for example A Mac desktop Computer with 2GB ram, 250 GB hard drive, Duel-Core processor, no graphics card, and 2.ghz processor, would cost about $1000, And a PC computer with 6GB ram, 1TB hard drive, 2.5ghz processor, quad core processor, 700-900 series graphics card, would cost roughly the same. So you are Definitely Getting a more powerful computer, for less with PC then with Mac.

Also When using a PC you will notice very few to no compatibility issues, with programs games, etc.

So In conclusion If you have a little higher budget, and are not worried about investing money In Compatibility resolution for the Mac, then I would recommend you get a Mac computer. Now if you are into editing Media, then I would also recommend a mac, they are probably the better Media Computers.

If you have a Lower Budget, Or are looking for a gaming, or extremely powerful computer, then I would recommend the PC computer.

I recently heard that Xbox (aka Microsoft) Is realesing a new game system, this game system by Xbox will be motion sensor like the Wii but better. Its going to have all the same features as the Wii, but their goal was to make it better, better response time on the motion sensor, but the Xbox version will be more expensive.

I have been doing some research on it, and Microsoft hasn't yet seemed to release any information on it, and there are very few website telling people about the new Xbox motion sensor video game system. So I decided I would tell you guys all the information I have learned about the new xbox motion sensor video game console / system.

So if you wish to learn more about this new system by Xbox I will teach you what I have learned about this new Xbox / Microsoft, Video game system with motion sensor features.

What I have learned about the Xbox motion sensor game system as you can see by the picture, it seems that it will not be a completely new console / system, but an add-on to the current Xbox-360.
